roblox

This article is about a Roblox account. For the Roblox staff, see Administrator. For other uses, see Admin (disambiguation).

Admin was one of the earliest created user accounts on Roblox, and the first account created on the Roblox Forums, with the ID of 1. The user "Admin" was created on June 30th, 2004 on the Roblox Forums, with an ID of 18 on the Roblox site.

Speculation

Misconceptions of Admin being the first-ever user were rumored for years, but there is no evidence of this being true. It is speculated that the account "Admin" seen on Roblox.com under ID 18 was only created in preparation for account syncing with the Roblox Forum profiles, which were under a different database system. It is theorized that the forum account "Admin" was automatically generated by the forum software Roblox was using, ASP.NET[1]. Because of this, Admin appears as user ID one in archives of the forum member list.[2] It can then be determined that at least 15 user accounts on Roblox had existed prior to the account's creation, and prior to the forums. David.Baszucki may have been the first Roblox account, as he is seen under ID one on the Roblox site for some time until the account Roblox Roblox Admin BadgeRoblox is the official account representing Roblox Corporation. Learn more. was swapped to this ID.[3]

It is further theorized that the users qa, David.baszucki, erik.cassel, and Toolbox, previous accounts before Admin were made, were then manually added to the forum member list. After this, it is possible the forum member list and the Roblox account database were properly synced, and all users from Todd and downward on the member list are accurately aligned with their Roblox profiles and join dates. This is, again, speculation, but the most likely reasoning for the discrepancy.

Termination

Admin's termination has a completely unknown date. It is widely assumed to be October 9, 2006, as that was the date of its last online activity and the creation of its "[Content Deleted]" place, and the reason is commonly believed to be for testing moderation systems. By banning the platform's first account, developers could verify that the termination tools and UI worked correctly for future use. However, it is confirmed that banning users began on October 17, 2006,[4] with Roblox administrators not having implemented any banning methods yet, instead suggesting IP-bans.
