Players may become verified by verifying their current email address with Roblox. This can be accomplished by accessing one's "Account" page. Some features require the player to be verified in order for the feature to work; including Experience Ratings to prevent botted likes/comments. Roblox requests that players must be verified in order to gain access more easily of re-accessing an account after being the victim of "Password Guessing" and to prevent malicious use of some features.

Rewards

In the past, Roblox has encouraged players to verify their account with rewards. Currently (starting February 8, 2013), players will receive the Verified, Bonafide, Plaidafied hat for verifying their account. Previously, players would get the Verified Sign for verifying their account. Additionally, Roblox occasionally releases Gifts to verified players.

If a player verifies their email, they can gain more abilities on the website, such as (but not limited to):

• Rate experiences they've played
• Change their username
• Protect their account
• Adjust their "Security" settings
• Reset their password or username when they forget to log in
• Claim a free hat
